New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) has released a short video that is very informative about the potentially devastating consequences of Oak Wilt disease to our oak forests and landscape oak trees throughout Long Island. The main lesson to be learned here is that it is vital to get your oak trees pruned during the cold, dormant season to avoid having bark beetles transmit the disease from wounds in infected trees to healthy trees throughout the growing season. Oak Wilt can devastate entire neighborhoods and miles of wooded forest areas in a very, very short period of time.

Please call or email us ASAP to schedule your pruning. Time is running out and the growing season is almost upon us!!
