Cottony Camellia Scale

Leaf and needle-feeding scale insects that can often form high populations. Heavy infestations cause leaves to turn yellow to light green and may cause stunted growth of the leaves. The insects appear on the under sides of leaves and needles as cottony masses. Because of their waxy coating or cover, adult scales are well protected from most insecticides. Spray treatments recommended, but they must be timed to the crawler stage.
