Birch Leafminer Damage
Leaf-mining insect that attacks newly formed leaves. Some species of birch are resistant, such as River birches or Heritage birches. Symptoms start with dark green spots on leaves which expand into blotch mines covering up to half the leaf. Spray and/ or soil treatments recommended.
